The 25th edition of the Aviation Fair will take place at the Pardubice Airport on 6 and 7 June 2015. Preparing a varied comprehensive program for visitors requires a long-term preparation. As the date of this major aviation event approaches, the whole organizing team is fine-tuning the smallest details of the main aviation program. This year’s edition is subtitled “Quarter-century of a Legend” and over the last twenty-four years the Aviation Fair has indeed become a legend. Along with gingerbread, horse racing and speedway it has become a symbol of Pardubice.
This year, the program is primarily focused on presenting a number of WWII aircrafts of various types. The 70th anniversary of the end of WWII will be the topic of one of the large-scale scenes. The program will also cover another important anniversary – 75 years since the famous Battle of Britain with a significant participation of Czechoslovak pilots fighting under the RAF. “This year, we wanted to invite historic aircrafts which had not yet been seen in the Czech sky. As soon as their owners confirm their participation, we will gradually reveal their names. However, we may safely say that historic gems with red bulls on their fuselage have confirmed their performance. These are exactly the same aircrafts, whose arrival in Pardubice last year was thwarted by technical problems. Let’s hope it will turn out well this year, ” says Jan Rudzinskyj from the Aviation Fair organizing team. There will also be a varied program on the ground with many shows and a wide range of activities for children.
