It would not be the Aviation Fair if its program lacked composed air and ground based scenes. Among the most attractive ones for the audience are those of the First World War. It is therefore understandable that a similar scenes will also be at this year's Aviation Fair, taking place at Pardubice airport during the weekend 3rd and 4th June 2017.
"Year 1917 brought series of major events regarding aviation, the most important, but also the saddest one was the fact that air battles gained intensity and mass character, where the pilots who have had once clashed in the sky in almost chivalrous combat of man against man, had to shoot their way through the battles with large number of airplanes involved. Such a number of aircraft can never be incorporated into the scenes under today`s conditions, partly because of lack of aircraft and pilots, and also because of restricted area dedicated for demonstrations. This of course is reflected in the script of the First World War scene, in which visitors will not be deprived of anything and see interesting ultralight replicas of historical machines in the sky, "says Jan Rudzinskyj of the organizing committee of the Aviation Fair about the scene.
Aviation Fair organizer Jaroslav Janda adds his words to the information: "Period of the First World War and especially the combat participation of Czech legionnaires in Russia is connected with this year's biggest showpiece of the Aviation Fair, which undoubtedly will be beautiful replica legionary train. Both days, i.e. Saturday 3rd and Sunday, June 4th, it will be present including historic steam locomotive at the airport`s railway station, beside the proven rail shuttle, again providing comfortable transport of visitors directly to the center stage.
